Work Ethic

I, of course, am talking about my dog's work ethic.

This dog, when not allowed to venture outside due to inclement weather, will spend his day in the following position:

Obviously, he is keeping up his career of monitoring the birds and other dangerous threats to the backyard. Every once and awhile, I'll hear the little jingle of his collar tags and find him here:

checking the other window. Occasionally, he will come find me, plop his head down wherever I might be, issue a huge sigh and look at me with a face that says, "You realize you're compromising your own safety by keeping me locked inside the house." (No, I don't truly believe he says this ... his vocabulary is nowhere that advanced.)

I wish I had the same diligence in a chore as this dog does. Currently, I'm struggling with the idea that I need to go to the grocery store.

first of all, can you imagine the sort of terroristic threats that would befall you and your spouse were you to be without the watchful eye of Coz-boz? I imagine he has thwarted more than his fair share of nuclear threats and biological warfare schemes. Secondly, when you state that "I'm struggling with the idea that I need to go to the grocery store" -- remember that you've got one hardworking husband's empty stomach that is struggling with the idea of you *not* going to the store... :)
