I never knew a not-quite 6-month-old baby could have such refined taste.
Just yesterday, I tried to be economical in my feeding practices for the baby. I made her rice cereal with just water, when typically I use formula.
Bad idea.
There I was, trying to spoon the food into her mouth and after a preliminary taste with her tongue, the remainder was spilling out onto her front and she was giving me a look as if to say: "This is not what the menu said. I want you to send this back to the cook and tell them I ordered rice cereal with formula ... which should be shaken, not stirred."
After realizing the entire contents of the bowl were on her bib (save the half of bite she unwittingly swallowed before she was aware of my devious money-saving tactic), I rinsed the bowl and remade it with formula. This she ate in its entirety .... not a morsel landed on the bib or chin.
But I can't say the same for the carrots ...
