The title of this post was going to be "Meet Cranky Crankerson" because if you could hear the cry/scream that went along with this photo, that would be the first thing that popped into your head. But then I realized I was being unfair. After all, this past week, this has been the look on my face every night after 7 p.m. (I can only keep it together for as long as she is awake ... no guarantees afterward).
It's because she's tired. I'm tired. Even Cosmo's tired.
Why are we all tired? We miss Jane's daddy, that's why.
(Another title seriously considered as I thought of this post yesterday? "Frazzle Rock" ... because I'm frazzled and my overly-tired brain thought the children's show with the apparently strung-out puppets was called "Frazzle Rock" only to later realize it was called "Fraggle Rock." Then my mind went on the assumption for quite some time that if said show was really "Fraggle Rock" that the word was fraggled.)
I could chalk this behavior up to a phase. But she behaved the same way (with the same troubling sleep patterns) when her daddy left for 3 days for an emergency family trip. And every corner turned recently is accompanied with her earnest face peering and the word "dada" being asked like a question.
Mercy I'm glad we will be with Lane soon (my hat goes off to all single parents) because I'm fraggled.

Rachel- I just read your last post. Im so happy that Lane found a job. That says alot about him- the job market sucks right now and the fact that he found work is amazing! Kudos to him. Good luck with the move. California will miss you guys!
XOXO
Eve
You are a strong woman, Rach! I am fraggled all the time even though Rich is here! I like that word. Last night Emma asked me every two or three minutes (literally) for over an hour if her daddy was home so he could chase her. (Okay, there were a few breaks in between, but it was driving me crazy!)
Um is there even a possibility that I could see you again before you go?
