Crocodile Tears

We've had family, family, family here the past 2 weeks. And it's been wonderful.

Aunt Bryn came, along with her two oldest, to deliver Uncle Drew to his new month-long rotation in the area. She left on a Thursday and the very next day Grandpa and Grammie (my parents) arrived followed on Saturday with Grandma and Papa (Lane's parents) and GGP (Lane's grandma).

We had family dinner after family dinner, Jane's grandpas taught her to climb down SIL's stairs (so now the incessant climbing up won't necessitate an adult on stand-by), SIL's Wii was played multiple times, Jane finagled Grandpa into movies and reading her the same book several times over, and Grandma managed to soothe Elliot into sweet slumber every time they met.

So many happy memories had been made, and, in the end, each departure was met with weeping and wailing from Jane as she watched her grandparents walk away with their luggage.

So here are photos from the 2 weeks. And to give props where props are due, my father is the photographer on almost all of these.

My eyes have been leaking ever since I gave Jane a kiss on her forehead. It was so fun to be there with Lane's parents. The thought of both grandpas scooting down those stairs with Jane will forever make me chuckle. The very best was going to relieve Donna of Elliot so she could have supper and finding both of them cuddled up, asleep on the couch. Such fun!
