Easter happens to be my favorite candy holiday.
Sure, Christmas has cinnamon rolls and starkles, but these things, I have found, are not exclusive to Christmas.
Easter, however, has Cadbury Mini Eggs, See's Candy truffle eggs, Robin Eggs and Starburst Jellybeans, which are exclusive to the holiday.
So why the tears?
I've subsisted on daily ration of two pieces of toast and gulps of Sprite and Gatorade for the past three days after being struck with the stomach flu Wednesday night (wherein I shed 10 pounds).
I do not think the chocolate goodness which is gracing my kitchen counter just waiting to be placed in expectant Easter baskets will be mine for the partaking. I even have chocolate-covered cinnamon bears (you know how I feel about those) and a Braum's sunday (diabolically purchased by my husband and mom to see if I was truly sick) waiting in my fridge and freezer.
I feel sad.
For once Sunday passes, I can no longer use the Easter excuse to gorge myself on the Easter treats.
So cry. Cry hard. I know I will be.

Cadbury mini eggs, See's chocolate eggs - oh the literal pounds of chocolate we soooo loved to eat on Easter. I still remember Katie, hanging out by the large tuperware bowl, while everyone else looked for more candy. I'll be thinking of you on Sunday.
So sorry you are sick. I hope it subsides quickly so you can have some mini eggs and some fun with your mom.
me too. I love easter and I also had the stomach flu over the weekend! I couldn't eat nada! I feel your pain. I am back to eating cadbury eggs now though :o)
I miss you Rach!!! I miss the good ol' roommate days, when we partook of all the candy goodness together! xoxo
So sad! Are you sure it is the stomach flu...hehehe. Don't yell at me, just a joke! :o) BTW, I updated for you Rach. I know I am a slacker....
