Earlier today, Jane frantically worked at getting my attention to the task at hand: Putting on her shoes.
Me: Why are we putting on your shoes?
Jane: Lunch.
Me: We don't need shoes on for lunch.
Jane: Lunch out, Mama.
Me: I don't know what you're saying. Do you want me to make you lunch?
Jane: No, Mama! (hand waving, disgusted face) Lunch out!
Me: Do you mean you want to go out for lunch?
Jane: Yes.
Editor's side note: Seriously, we got out once a month to lunch, with Lane, near his office, at McDonald's. I don't know where she got this idea.
Later tonight, Lady Gaga was belting out "Poker Face" from the confines of my archaic laptop as we all had a post-dinner dance party.
Jane desperately wanted Lane to begin dancing.
Jane: Shake your bum bum, Daddy!
Jane, doing the robot at a different dance party.

The question is, "Did Daddy get up and shake his bum bum?" Isn't it wonderful to watch the minds of little ones? They are so incredibly entertaining and hilarious. . .
Her hair looks so long in this picture! I bet y'all have ROCKIN' dance parties! Let me know when your next impromtu one is and Autumn & I will rush over to shake our bum bums with you.
