Chubby Wifey

Tomorrow I turn 30.

I think you'll find I'm not one of those people who gets upset as their age starts to steadily, and predictably, inch forward. To me, when people grouse about their age, it makes me think they are unhappy with what they've done with their life thus far. Like they thought they were supposed to have accomplished more by the time they reached the age of X.

I la-la-love birthdays. A lot. Especially my own.

I know that's a very "me me me planet" type thing. But I don't care. I like my birthday that much.

As a pre-birthday gift (because he knows I like the event to last a week), Lane scoured the earth for my favorite ice cream.

Ben and Jerry's makes a flavor called Chubby Hubby (if you haven't tried it, don't. You won't be able to stop and ... how can I put this delicately? ... it's not fat free). No one stocks the flavor anymore. It's next to impossible to find. So Lane called grocery stores until he found it. Then he bought them out (of all four pints).

Perhaps he's trying to get me to gain 30 before I turn 30? I don't know. All I know is there is also a birthday cake in the near future. And I'm a happy little piggy.
