My children were mesmerized by the falling snow the entire way home from church. And they continued to watch the snow fall after we made it inside the house.
So there I was, preparing lunch in the kitchen, when I hear Jane say "so beautiful."Naturally I assumed she was still looking out the window. But suddenly I heard Lane dying with laughter. Apparently Jane had been looking at a photo of herself when she burst out in a "so beautiful".
I guess when she's right, she's right.

Can you see Jane's frozen hands? I know you can't see Elliot's soaked pants that had begun to form ice on the bottom. My children are sorely lacking in winter gear and they were cold. But trust me, there was weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth when Mom said it was time to come inside.

Jane is a nut! That is so funny! Love the pictures, both Jane AND the snow are SO beautiful!
Thanks, Rachel for the Thank You note and the pictures. Your kids are so cute!!
We've had snow twice in North Carolina and Abby refuses to let me even put her down. She just screams at me. There is no love for the snow for her.
Did you teach them how to make snowballs?
I didn't teach them to make snowballs -- but only because they are naturals. The first thing they both did when they got out there was to pick up a wad of snow and make it into a ball, which they promptly threw at each other. They had to see it somewhere, but not from me.
