Think my title refers to the ever-popular Buzz Lightyear (particularly in my home)?
Nope.

I woke up to find my baby, my love looking like this:
It's only hair, I know. And I live by the mantra "it'll grow back", but it'll never be the same.
Forever after I will see him not as my curly-haired baby, but as a toddler. Lane doesn't understand my rational on this, but you understand, right?
I've already cried more times than is appropriate over the matter.

The first cut is always the hardest. I have a friend who has had to give her little son 5 haircuts in the first 8 months. It is a mane! p.s. I hope copying is the sincerest form of flattery because I tried to copy your blog writing style for a special blog I did for a room makeover contest. I hope you don't mind. :)
I need your mailing address. E-mail or text me please. (903) 235-9802. Love you!
You are completely rational to be saddened by this. Since Lydia's hair is still so short she gets mistaken for a boy, we have not had the first haircut yet and I am completely fine with that. It does seem to differentiate eras in your child's life. And seriously, who needs them growing up so fast anyway.
On the up side: He looks adorable either way :)
He looks like he's been crying too.
Poor baby - poor Mama! Just remember he's got quite of few curly genes! Some day it will be curly again, maybe waves, like Great-grandpa's was when I met him.
I'll remember him like the picture
on my frig.. . .
Oh Rachel, take it from me, there is no controlling that Maygren curl - no matter how many times you cut it. It'll be there forever. I savor in the time I spend NOT having to worry about my boys hair. One head of girl hair is PLENTY for me to fuss over. Enjoy the freedom.
