It's been a photo-filled week.
Owen Gets His 2 Month Check-Up
My baby went into the doctor for his 2-month check-up.
I knew it in my heart, but the scale confirmed: He is my smallest baby. Ironic since he was my largest at birth.
He measures in at 23 1/2 inches (same as Elliot), but comes in at only 12 pounds 1 ounce. He's perfectly average (literally ... all his stats are 50 or 51 percentile).
I was concerned, seeing as my baby's are usually little tubs, but he's a perfect little man.
He holds his head magnificently for such a young baby, hates his tummy time (but will give us the obligatory lift of the head), and has began to reach and hit his toys.
And boy does this baby talk. All the live-long day. He is my little chatty baby -- and I love it.
I really have been blessed to have such a relaxed and happy baby.
Just like his stats, he's perfect.
Owen Gets A Blessing
This is why Grammie and Papas came into town this past week: Lane gave the baby a blessing in our church.
It was a beautiful blessing and my beautiful little baby was perfect throughout it (although he began to cry the minute he was within smelling distance of me).
Grammie and Papa Visit
Lane's father was able to come for the blessing and Jane thought she was in seventh heaven with two Papas at her disposal.
My parents were able to stay for a full week and the kids certainly exploited that time with them.
The IPad was a huge hit.
They identified birds on the IPad:
watched TV on the IPad, FaceTimed with aunts and colored pictures.
We went to the zoo:
We went to the mall to ride the horsies:
And everyone loved on the sweetest little baby to ever grace this Earth.

What a wonderful week you had! And so many great pictures! It is so fun to see your baby grow and fill out. Are your other kids down in the dumps this week without all that attention?
In the first picture you posted, Owen looks so much like Joseph (Boybee). Oh, he looks like such a happy boy!
I love it!! Thanks for being at the top of the list!!

Not the first picture but the second, when Joseph was that age.

Such a cute little family! Blessing days are fabulous.
Jane's comment made me laugh out loud. That child will break your resolve to never own an iPad. And then, we will WIN!
In all seriousness, this post was awesome. Your baby is adorable. I love seeing my sister's babies and seeing that striking family resemblance in all the cousins, and yet the distinct look of their own family. Owen simultaneously looks like you/Jane and Little Miss C (and maybe a little Boybee, thrown in there).
In your own words, more photos!
It was a truly wonderful week. Already missing your family. I am already looking forward to our next visit. I love all the pictures.
