The Great Pumpkin

The night before Halloween and Lane and I have continued in our pumpkin carving tradition (two years, it can be a tradition now, right?). This year, tragically, either the pumpkins were bad or grew on some funky farm because they kept sluffing in a spaghetti-type manner. Maybe that's usual, but we weren't used to it.
Lane got fancy with his and did one of those design-stamp type carvings where he just shaves away some of the pumpkin so it has the glow of a certain shape (it was a bat).

I cheated on my pumpkin and used one of the guided cutouts (approved for children aged 6 and older, so I felt confident I could do it).
And then Lane and I decided to be uber-exuberant parents and carve a pumpkin for our little Jane ... she's not even here yet and already I feel like an annoying parent ... but it's still fun!
Now the real challenge ... finding a spot for them on our little porch where they won't be blocked by a weed-like bush that refuses to come out of the ground.

I can't get over the belly either. I just want to be one of those really annoying people that come up to you and rub your belly without asking. lol. Pregnant Rachel is so beautiful! I miss you so much.
