So I'm a day behind.
Some of the things Jane is doing, I am sure, are not really milestones, merely typical human reactions that we all come equipped with. Others probably aren't really happening, I just think they are. Whatever -- it's my first child.
- Lifts her head and can hold it up for several seconds
- Follows items (particularly Lane and I) with her eyes
- Smiles ... I swear it's not always because of gas
- Kicks her legs straight and pushes off of me
- Brings her hands to her face (she'll even pull her hair ... though I doubt on purpose)
- Makes noises (not just crying) at Lane and I when we talk to her
All in all, it's been a great month. And, bless her, she will typically sleep for six to eight hours every night (which she's been doing for about 2 1/2 weeks).

the babe looks waaay cute -- congrats Ratchel and Lane. Although, I must say, the pic on the left shows a baby Jane in pre-cry mode just about ready to erupt. Apparently that ends the nature vs. nurture debate as to why children dislike getting their pictures taken. She's too young to be taught that
Ohh, I miss her. Her aunt really needs to hold her soon. So please some visit because my 3 crazy kids make it near impossible to come there!
P.S. I miss her mother too.
I love seeing her pictures. Sometimes when I see her I swear I'm seeing flashbacks to random baby pictures of one of us. I'm so glad she's sleeping for you, a major blessing! Hopefully we'll be able to come see you guys in May while we're in California.
