While my sister Julia borrowed two of my books yesterday, I lamented on my ongoing angst over the utter lack of a book club. Julia inspired me to take action.
We decided to start an online book club. It doesn't have a name yet, but rest assured, whatever we concoct will be straight-up amazing. You'll be proud to belong to an institution with such an awesome name.
E-mail me if you'd like to join. I'll give you a week and then we'll set up a date and time to meet and discuss the debut novel (which is going to be The Gravedigger's Daughter). Think of all the intelligent and insightful people I fully intend to make join (if they do not come of their own free will).
And if eating out is a highlight of book clubbing, do as I intend to -- takeout.
P.S. I'd like to give a Happy Birthday shout out to my fabulous sister Diana.

I want in. I read a lot but it's always nice to have a little extra push (ie: I need to read, book club is this week, etc.). I started an online book club with my college friends (we were all English teaching majors), but they are all too busy and not so into blogging, so it's slowly died out. Lane can attest to my normalcy. I'm not trying to stalk you. I just check your blog every now and then and you've always posted something that I have to comment on. :)
I would love to join as well. Fabulous idea.
