My debut Mother's Day was absolutely wonderful.
Big Cheese took the baby all day long (I got her when she needed to eat ... there was nothing he could do to help out with that!) and I got to relax and actually get ready for church.
On the way to have dinner at my parents' home, the Big Cheese gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure and manicure. I love that man! If anyone recalls my previous rants on the holding off of delivering the baby so that I might get a pedicure, you'll realize how much I enjoy said event.
After a delicious dinner (made by my bro-in-law and Dad, with Diana's assistance), the Bee's Knees entertained my mom, sisters and I as she played under her rainforest play gym. Her cute coos and giggles also enthralled my 2-year-old nephew Little C, who busily tucked her in and rattled the toys above her head. As all of this went on, the men did all the dishes. Wonderful!
As soon as the clock struck midnight, the Big Cheese laid back in bed with a sigh and informed me that we'd passed into the realm of Father's Day -- but I still got a neck rub out of him.
To all the brilliant women I know, with or without children, I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

Sounds like the big cheese and the other boys in the fam did a god job. Happy Belated Mothers Day Rachel. :)
You are one lucky mother and wife! And all of the pampering and gifts were well deserved, I'm sure!! :0)
