The Big 4

Pooh Bear and I visited Dr. C this morning for her 4 month check-up. She received all her shots and did her heart-breaking little cry (if you haven't seen it, there's no way you can fully comprehend ... she does this adorable little lip quiver). Dr. C said her height and head size remain average for her age and that her weight is "just off the top of the chart now." He told me not to worry.

He also said her skills are right on track and that she holds her head amazingly well. Hooray! Other highlights:
  • brings objects to mouth using both hands
  • has several different smiles for various moods/situations
  • pushes off anything remotely solid (I have bruises on my arm from nursing)
  • babbles all the time
  • recognizes people and other favorite objects
  • will pout and cry when she knows Mommy is in the area, but not directly looking at/holding her (people keep telling me she's too young for separation anxiety, but it's true, it's what happens ... perhaps the all powerful "they" call it something else. Does anyone what to help me with that?)

Height: 24 inches

Weight: 16 pounds, 14 ounces

I always get a kick out of how parents talkabout their babies' head size. I didn't realize it was such a hot topic. I aske done friend and he explained that he was concerned his daughter woulod grow up to look like a bauble head.
Jane is a cutie.

oh my goodness. .. some of these pictures remind me of one of Lane, maybe I included it in your "Lane book", he is sitting up and has a blue and white outfit on. . .anyway, so cute. . .how's your back carrying Jane?
I agree with Gail, you think for a second and it does seem just like yesterday that Lane was little and it does go by so quickly, therefore, word from the wise (?) but experienced one, enjoy every minute. Can't say there are many regrets of being full time mother and loving children unconditionally and always. . .that I hope will be the legacy to all of my grandchildren from their wonderful parents. . .
