Yesterday, we spent the whole evening at the State Fair with family: Grandpa, Grammie Gail, Aunt Diana, Uncle Steve, Aunt Julia and cousins. Kudos to Julia and Steve for implementing this tradition into the family. We had the best time. We even stayed until 10 p.m. ... more than 3 hours past Jane's bedtime and she did fabulously. We went from exhibits, to eating, to more exhibits, to rides, to Jane sleeping, to a horse show (where Jane awoke). It ended the best of ways -- with a whirlwind tour of dessert stands as we walked out of the Fair (which took a solid hour).
Here's a bunch of photos (which should redeem me from my lack of photo postings and even provide a healthy cushion for any drought yet to come):

You got so many great pictures! I have to get some of those to add to the family picture book. I'm glad you guys had fun. We love going every year and it was great to have you guys join us for the first time this year!
P.S. I think your daughter is the spitting image of her mom. And I love her. I'm so honored to be close to watch her grow up!!
Gotta love fair food! I love the picture of Jane in the sunflower and also the fishing one where Jane and Lane have funny faces. Sounds like you guys had a blast.
I should tell you right now how jealous I am because the fair is like my favorite place to go. Next to Magic Mountain and Universal Studios of course. But I love the Cali state and county fairs and I am sad that I missed both this year. I am off to go cry myself to sleep now. :*(
