6 Months

Here she is last night with Lane at our anniversary celebration.

Jane turned 6-months-old last week and had her check-up with Dr. C today. He said she is a very happy baby and reminded me, yet again, that not all babies are as easy and laid back as Jane. She is healthy, with her eczema on the side of her face being the only problem (and a little one at that). She is average on height and head size and is (thankfully!) back on the chart for weight, albeit she is at the tippy top of that chart.

Achievements in the world of Jane:
• Babbles non-stop
• Finally started rolling and won’t stop … although doesn’t move anywhere – she only goes right and then right back to the left
• Puts everything in her mouth
• Picks up her sippy cup or bottle and puts it in her mouth … still working on the tipping part of the whole process to get fluid into her mouth
• Feeds herself (although she needs me to get the food onto the spoon … I can’t imagine the mess if she did that on her own)
• Smiles, flirts, screeches … does everything she can to get all the attention on her
• And just Sunday (first and only time) when on her belly, tucked her legs under her, reached out with her arms and started pulling with her arms and pushing with her legs to get her dolly … of course the pulling with the arms simply moved the blanket and she achieved her goal
• Sits on her own
• Grabs at items to pull herself forward or up
And finally, my favorite …
• You kiss her cheek, she kisses your cheek
