Falling for Fall

Recipe for a Perfect Fall Day:

Up in the morning -- 7a.m. sharp -- to a delightful discovery of one chilly home.

Bundle one baby in a cuddly, double-sided blanky.

After some brisk entertainment and snack, return all home occupants -- one dad, one mom, one baby and two dogs -- to warm beds for 1 and 1/2 hours.

Once people are warm, begin dressing process.

After all three people dressed, send two dogs to frolic in cool outdoors.

Quickly send dad, mom and baby to pumpkin farm, where food, entertainment and pumpkins as far as the eye can see (and beyond) can be found.

Chef's note: Spending day in sun and wind, where swirls of excitement abound, can result in a tired, hungry -- yet oddly satisfied -- outcome in this recipe.

Dear Jane: your Daddy is an October birthday boy so the pumpkin patch always reminds me of his birthday as well as Auntie KK. The pumpkin patch was definitely part of the birthday celebrations. Glad to see you are joining in the celebration. . .and that you have found yourself a wonderful pumpkin to be sat upon. . .adorable!
