The suspense of keeping it all in was killing Jane, so I finally gave into her demands.
I was surprised how long we were able to keep this a secret. I am shockingly over 12 weeks, which, in my book, finishes up the first trimester, seeing as I have completed 3 months.
However, the same evil genius who told women pregnancy was a mere 9 months diabolically tacked on extra weeks to a few key months (namely 3, 5, 6 and 9).
I know, I know. When you count on your fingers it's still 9 months ... but 40 weeks divided by 4 (the length of a typical month) equals 10 months. My plebeian-sized brain can't wrap itself around that one.
And Jane doesn't know it yet, but she's very excited ...

Congrats! Owen and Peyton are only 54 weeks apart (yeah I know!, 1 year and two weeks)! But they are hte best of friends. Owen adores Peyton and for being still a baby himself, he is really gentle with her and very protective.
Hi Rachel! It's Katie Kingdon... I've been stalking your blog for the last few months... I got a call from Aubrey one day and she told me about your VERY CUTE baby and how I had to see your blog... anyway... baby #2, how fun! I hope all is well. And really, beides my own kids... Jane is the cutest thing ever! :) (o.k. so I've also been stalking Julia's blog, so tell her I say hi, my mom does too, and congrats on her new baby!)
Congrats! Mari & Jimmy are 18 months apart, these two hardly ever fight! Jane will be such a good BIG sister.
Congrats. I have been there too! But, you know, I have to say I think it is good for kids to have siblings and getting it done sooner is a blessing in disguise, although a lot of work. They never have time to figure out what it is like to have Mom and Dad alone :o) I am very happy for you! And, I know what you mean about the whole 10 lunar months thing.....UGH, I am right there with Julia...I always deliver late...my babies are just to comfortable..any day now....
YEAH!!!! You are fertile like the rest of us Packard women!!! I am very happy for you!
Hey Jackson!!
