Going Up

Yes, it's Lane ... going up his slide

Is it too late to join the 2009 resolution bandwagon? Let us not forget that I just posted about Christmas.

A friend of mine uses a word to describe her new year. I actually thought pretty hard about this. I have decided that 2009 will be described with "UP" for me.

Lots of things will be moving up this year (as part of my 2009 resolutions).
  • Our job situation will be looking up
  • Baby #2 will up the number of our family
  • Baby # 2 will certainly up my weight (I will not report how the holidays showed at the doctor's yesterday). However, with this one I am hoping that up has a different affect -- up for Baby Daville (Grammie's nickname for the baby ... combo of the two gender names) but then quickly down, so that my self esteem can go back up
  • I will make my outlook on life go up
  • Despite the fact that my darling Jane will play in her crib peacefully for 2 hours after awaking, I resolve to get up before 8:30
  • I will get up off my rump more often to play, walk and move around
  • And, without even trying, my love will only go up for Lane and Jane
2009. Yes indeedy. This will be a good year. Don't get me wrong ... 2008 was spectacular ... but doesn't it just get better?

P.S. Try writing "up" about 30 times. After awhile, it starts to look like it's wrong. I just verified with Lane that "up" is indeed spelled u-p. His response? "I love you so much." I'll take that as a yes.

I am thinking I'm going to steal your "up" idea. I still have yet to make some resolutions, so this has got me inspired!

I like that A LOT! What should my word be? I'm going to ponder upon this.
