It's been an illuminating three days:
- Two dogs shed exponentially more than one
- My new neighbor? Not so neighborly. Apparently my front yard is his ash tray/dog-poop receptacle
- No matter the time she awakes, Jane can no longer go down for a morning nap before 10:30 a.m. Will fashion this new independence into my gym time ... let's see if the fabulous people at 24 Hour Fitness will tend a tired/separation-anxiety-ridden child
- One full week of rain equals a muddy yard for all eternity
- Placing Cosmo in his kennel as punishment for barking does not deter him
- One impromptu visit to the park on the way home from the grocery store on a lovely Spring day elicits unparalleled joy in a 1-year-old
- Witnessing a 1-year-old's unparalleled joy brings quiet reflection and peace to a hormonal/emotional/stressed-out pregnant mommy
If I was more creative, perhaps I might fashion some kind of wall hanging out of these lessons. Alas, "two dogs shed exponentially more than one" is not exactly Confucius.

1. I love Jane's eyes in her cake mess picture above.
2. The park always brings me serenity, hence, the reason why we go at least 2 times a week for the past 8 years.
3. I thought Cosmo never barked.
He never USED to. Hence the frenzy in trying to figure out how to get him to stop. We thought it was a I-have-no-backyard-to-run-in syndrome at Mom's. Turns out it's become a habit. Ugh ...
