Weekend in 3s

I found myself counting a lot this weekend -- and I kept ending up with the number three.

  • Jane found herself with three ailments this weekend: teething those blasted eyeteeth; a nasty little cold; and, to top it all off, a little diaper rash.
  • I went on a glorious 3-hour date Friday night with my wonderful husband. It was complete with a babysitter, dinner AND a movie. Ah, bliss.
  • For the first time in my life, I made jam. Not only made jam, but canned it. Yes, I'm multi-talented (only thanks to my fabulous sister-in-law). It was triple berry jam.
  • We woke up Saturday to find 300 weeds sprouted in our front yard. No picture here folks, it's too hideous ... the only yard on the block.
  • Had my glucose/Rhogam/check-up appointment today for baby #2 -- inexplicably have gained triple the amount I should have. Aaack! Doc S tried to reassure me that sometimes we have one burst of weight gain for unexplained reasons. Hmm. Find myself wondering how she would react if it was happening to her.
  • Baby discovered three new locations to pummel: my ribcage, my pelvis and some internal organ.
  • Finally, I reached the third trimester mark Saturday, but already look like I did 3 days before I gave birth to Jane.

Mmm - that jam looks so yummy. You two are going to be all crafty together now living by each other, makes me jealous. And how come Jane can look so cute even with all the ailments and frowning going on - those pink cheeks are just too precious. Congrats on getting closer to the end - I'd switch for a bigger belly if I could be that much closer to getting this little girl outta here!!

What about 3 times to the gym in a week to add to your list? Great stories to read and always enjoy the pictures. . .the jam does look yummy now get baking the 3 loaves of 3 grain bread and it will be a triple treat! or Cosmo jumping 3 times as high, no forget that, it would be over the fence and gone. What a wonderful thought to have both Texas children so close to each other and enjoying one another. . .those are great thoughts.

Keep on truckin' Rachel. I love to see how well you are doing. What are the three berries in the jam? We also had "threes" this weekend - Mr. M, Miss A, and Little C.

Rachel I have to say that I feel the same way you do. I feel like I'm already bigger with this baby than I was with Kaden. And no matter what anyone says, I KNOW I am... I can't button half my shirts around my chest or belly and they fit me all the way through the last pregnancy!

So I sympathize with you and I hate to admit it, but my appointment was yesterday and I gained more than I should have too! :)

Oh Jane is having a ball with that cake! Jefferson didn't even get any off of his face. The frosting on his nose an eye was placed there by loving grandparents. Jane is too cute!
