Jane saw her new pediatrician today for her 1-year wellness exam.Fortuitously, they placed us in Room 6 -- which is decked out with monkeys (Jane's current obsession) -- because the 1-year exam came with 5 immunizations. Plus, my little Pooh Bear is sick, so you can imagine the screaming and the heart-breaking look of pain she gave me as I had to hold her to the table.
But, we la-la-la-love Dr. C. He is fabulouso. He was everything I look for in a pediatrician (because I've had, count them, three now).
He expressed every confidence in her skill level, except for, perhaps, where the standing/walking arena comes into play. But, he said she's strong and everything appears fine. I attribute it to her incurable stubbornness. She just simply does not want to do it.
And, for all of you who have watched my little scooter gain a solid 5 pounds every 3 months, there is no need to break out the rice cakes. She is slowing way down. Only about 1/2 a pound this time. But take heart, she's still in the 86th percentile.

Weight: 24 pounds 6 ounces
Length: 29 inches

Wait. . .3rd pediatrician. . .and you were commenting on counting in 3's. . .hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
What a little cutie. Hope she still remembers her grandma and grandpa - we sure are glad we got to spend so much time with her these past six months. She'll probably be like Greg and just wait for the new little one before That will open a whole new Pandora's box for her mom and dad.
Oh, I just want to kiss those little rosy cheeks OFF. How I miss hearing you come down the hall saying "Where's grandma?" I love you all. Even Cosmo, whose barking is still ringing in my ears.
Hooray for pigtails! So have all the doggies from Christmas already been replaced by monkeys? Gotta love a girl who knows what she wants. Give her big hugs from us...5 shots are never fun.
