Walk Like a (wo)Man

Last I left you, Jane still refused to walk.
Two days later, I started noticing a troubling trend in the house: Jane was reaching trouble without her telling scoot sounding through the house to warn me that she was on the move.
So I decided to confirm my suspicions by covertly watching her from the corner of my eye.
Yes, it was true. Jane was walking everywhere she wanted to go -- as long as she thought I wasn't watching.
If I was watching, she would scoot. Or if she caught me watching, she wobbled and began to scoot.

By the end of the day, once again, my Con Man realized the jig was up. And now, for the most part, she's been walking.

Don't get me wrong, she still prefers her scoot. And if she falls while walking, it's straight to a scoot she goes.

I did try for video evidence. Tragically, with this child, the minute you pop out the camera she sits motionless on the floor.

And, as the title of this post suggests, I am happy to say my daughter has impeccable taste when choosing favorite singers. Her two top: Frankie (as in Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons) and Neil.

Lastly, I had to include these two recent photos.

Almost every look Jane has reminds me of my mother and Elliot makes his puckering-lip face every now and then and it reminds my of my mom when she is disgruntled with something you've done.
