Imagine it: It's noon Sunday, I'm putting the kids down for nap and it's starting to get uncharacteristically warm in the house.
Two things: The weather has not been that warm lately. Sure, Sunday was supposed to be warmer than usual. The other, this house is not known for its insulation. Regardless, noon is still way too early to be feeling the heat.
I check the thermostat. The temperature is starting to rise.
By 3 p.m. is was 84 degrees in the house.
By 5:30 p.m., when it was 90 degrees outside, it was 87 degrees inside. Mind you, the A/C had been "running" since 11 a.m. that morning.
Lane and I came to the brilliant conclusion that it must be broken.
It reminded me of that week one August in St. George when the A/C in my apartment was broken.
It was just Kallee and I in the apartment, as our other two roommates were on vacation.
Kallee and I -- the fearless reporters that we were -- were too afraid to approach the landlord about the broken A/C.
Instead, we left at 6 a.m. and returned after 9 p.m., kept every fan in the house in whatever room we travelled to, slept in our swimsuits and kept buckets of water next to our beds.
This was St. George friends. I'm talking Vegas temperatures here.
Our boss thought we'd turned over a new leaf. He couldn't believe we were in to work before 8 a.m. We finally broke the news to him on Thursday that our new punctual nature simply stemmed from our oven-like apartment.
When our roommates returned home, the A/C was fixed in a matter of hours.
I hope Lane will call the landlord, otherwise I'll have to see if Kallee has our old roommates numbers.

How do I not remember that? An early arrival at work would have been noticed by me, right? Anyway, I hope you get the AC fixed ASAP. There is nothing worse than feeling hot inside your house, especially when you're trying to sleep!
That is way WAY too hot! Get er done Rach!
Hanging out in the movie theater and grocery store are also good alternatives. I know this because we have NO air conditioning. Yeah.
I don't know how well you knew Tiffany "Gille" Feger from byu with us, but she was just in town visiting me and it made me think that I still really need to get together with you!!! hope your A/C is better btw!
