My mom was here 3 weeks ago -- you know, when I was busy emptying my stomach of every content consumed in the last 5 days.
What I noticed?
She made a real effort to get down and play with the babies. Particularly coloring with Jane.
She just loved the fact that Jane would grab a coloring book and insist I retrieve her "colors" (aka crayons). She thought it so cute, in fact, she'd drop her knitting and get right down on the floor with her.
And that got me to thinking: How often do I let Jane play alone? Quite alot, actually.
Not that there is anything wrong with alone play time.
But the point is, I could make a bigger effort to play with her. You know, try to remember the guilt I felt over the Crayola commercial.
Emily, this one's for you. You asked last time if the photo of Jane was her in a side ponytail. Not there, but here, she certainly is rockin' the side pony. And she is so cute when she does.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a little girl pulling my pajama pants down as she begs me to "dance, mama, dance" with her.

Excited that Jane likes to color and dance. . .those are two of my favorite activities. . .we'll have a grand time together. Made our reservations so that is taken care of and GGP will be coming. . .she loves to "go" but won't travel without someone so this will be nice for her. She loves children so she'll have a special time.
