You know, that I'm one of those women who looks like she's still trying to be in high school. And not high school now, but high school when she went to high school. Basically, I fear I am becoming a 30-year-old who is out of touch with fashion and wearing (or trying to) wear the same things I wore in the late 90's in high school.
It's shallow, I know, but I became so obsessed with this fear that I called my friend for a) reassurance and b) to set up a warning system should it start to happen. Of course, her 5 children simultaneously getting the stomach flu trumped the conversation.
So, instead, I've fretted that my tastes don't keep up to date.
To ease my woes, I started wrapping presents with the new paper I got for this year:

Two hours in, I realized I needed some bows or ribbon. So off I went to my wrapping cupboard to pull some out. Guess what I found in the back of the cupboard, from 3 years ago (when I last had to wrap presents):

You must have a wrapping paper cupboard and bows, just like your mother did.
Your cookies looks so nummy from the time before. I made decorated sugar cookies for on the tree. So that whenever someone came, they could have a cookie. They were alot of work.
You're giving your kids happy memories!!!!
HAHAHAHHA! I can't believe I missed this when you put it up. This really made me laugh out loud.
I think, though, that it has less to do with your tastes not changing and more to do with you having classic taste wrapping paper.
Next time I see you, I promise to stage an intervention should I think it necessary. (Although I've started to question my own styling as well. I think we're just in that stage of life.)
Love it!
