Mmm, mmm, mmm

Another holiday, another batch of seasonally-shaped sugar cookies.
I love this treat, especially decked out in M&Ms. Mmm. Of course, my Mom was quick to remind me that some people just like the plain sugar cookie and frosting. Who are these people?
Jane assisted in the cutting of the shapes and even some decoration.
Of course, every cookie she decorated also got the complimentary Jane lick across the entire top surface. These cookies have been reserved for her consumption alone and were not given to any unassuming friend/family who might have received a plate.

The kids sure enjoyed the eating of the yumalicious treat.

As have I. But no photos of that. I've eaten too many to count and have effectively destroyed any attempts to stave off sugar.

Me. I'm one who like just frosting, maybe a little with sugar sprinkles, but that's it!

Those look so yummy! I wish my package had gotten there in time for the baking ... oh well. Hopefully it'll get there in time for Christmas! (I sent it Thursday)

I was just going to comment that I completely agree with the idea that sugar cookies are better decked out with goodies (especially candy corn and M&Ms) and wonder who those crazies are who disagree. My apologies, Julia.

Even considering the occasional purist, these cookies look FABULOUS. I wish I were near you so I could eat some. (Well, I wish I were near you for other reasons, too.)

How crazy is this -- I just downloaded photos of my own festive cookie baking session to blog about and although mine are the gingerbread variety the post content is remarkably similar. Guess when I post it'll look like a copy cat :)
Cute cookies -- and I hear you on the over-indulgence of sugar!
