It's Broken

With our colds starting to ebb in a downward spiral (meaning, illness seems to be leaving our racked bodies), the children and I braved the cold today so I cold indulge in my hunt for a Grandpa-esque sweater for Elliot.

Jane saw the rocket ride the second her little foot descended from our vehicle. All I heard for the next 30 minutes was the plea of a 2-year-old to ride the rocket.

I indulged.

She lasted about 10 seconds.

When I asked her why she didn't want to stay on the rocket, she looked at me in all seriousness and said "It don't fly in the sky. It broken, Mama."

For the record, Elliot didn't like the seizure-like movements of the rocket either.

I usually prefer when somebody else pays to get it going, my child jumps in, and then immediately jumps out because he hates it too. Nothing wasted. :)
