My mom came into town and I was distracted by her excellent company. The kids and I have been sick again. And I'm lazy.
But my best and most prevailing reason is that I've been working on a little project that's taken most of my spare time (or all of my nights and I'm too exhausted to move from the floor the next day).
There's still a few more things to do, but I'm this close (imagine two fingers really close together) to getting it all finished up.
I've been working on my long-envisioned dream for Jane's room decor. I'm so excited, because it is turning out fabulously.
In fact, here's a small sample:

I still have some joints to re-putty and sand, caulking, touch-up and one more element to Jane's bedding to sew, but it should be all done in the next couple of days.
I'll show you the whole thing then, because I know you're dying of excitement and anticipation.
But who knows, I might go on a binge and decide to re-cover the nursery rocker (long overdue) or get way ahead and sew Elliot's big-boy bedding.

Can't wait to see it!
YES! We are dying of ANTICIPATION!!!! It looks fabulous.
Really cute picture of Elliot and Jane. . .and her room. . .it looked like wood at first and Lane said it was wallpaper. . .fun to have decorating and fix up projects. . actually there is always something to do. . .we are to the 'replace' it stage when things are wearing out and need to be totally replaced. . .and it is a neverending, fun cycle (I say fun and Lorin says annoying). . .but certainly never a dull moment. Will be fun to see it in person but mostly to see all of you in person. . .see you next week.
