Did you know Lane and I were an online romance?
It's true. I spent most of my adult life mocking those who found true love online -- then I go and do the same.
And five years ago today, we met each other for the first time.
He flew out ostensibly to spend time with his family, who lived about an hour and a half from me. In reality, he flew out to see if we could be more than just late night phone calls and hundreds of work e-mails.
And, if you ask me, our first date was that night at the In N Out near LAX. If you ask Lane, it was the next night when we went to dinner and the theatre. (And at Disneyland the day after that (March 3) is when we took the new header photo up there.)
In the cliche of all cliches, I knew this day five years ago that I would marry Lane. He took my hand to calm my nervous radio-flipping twitches and I knew. I spent the next four days unable to get enough of him.
It's been five years and I still can't get enough of him.

Oh, cute! You guys are a cute couple. So five years ago a few days ago was when you were in Vegas and we were shopping for your outfit to meet Lane! Heh, I was pregnant with Emma....so long ago....but it doesn't seem like it was that long at the same time. I am rambling, I will stop now.

CONGRATS! It seems like just a couple of years ago we were hanging out w/ Tara in the basement apartment. I can't believe how fast time has flown by. :)
