A Tiny Experiment

I am horribly disappointed with Blogger.

Enough that I might quit. (Isn't this like the fourth time I've threatened this. I'm a little more serious this time.)

I don't say this to elicit your sympathy or to receive general outcries of "please don't". It's because I'm not getting updated in blogrolls. And, apparently, I'm self-centered enough to not want to post if people don't know that I'm posting.

But isn't that what a blog is anyway? A way of saying: Look at me. Look at my life. And look at my adorable children (if you happen to have children).

I'm not saying this is bad. I love reading others' blogs. I spend too much of my day delving into the lives of others. Some of these people I don't even know. I become horribly temperamental when I don't get regular updates (you few know that I mean you).

But I ONLY look when I see that they've moved up my blogroll.

I hate it when someone goes private. A) Ruins my way of seeing when they update and B) There is a little known phenomenon that happens when you're blog is private: You stop blogging.

Anyway, I'm currently typing this in the new interface to see if it makes a difference.

I sincerely doubt it will.

Even blogger help will not help me. They haven't helped anyone who's had this problem in the last 4 months.

Sucks big time.

While I debate my possible blogger exit (or maybe I'll just go private. I mean if you're not getting update anyway) I've been busy thinking up lessons for a co-op preschool I'm now involved in for little Jane.

Here's a fun fact: I don't know how I feel about it yet.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the people I'm doing it with. The girls are FANTASTIC. I probably have the best set of circumstances one could have: Four adorable girls who get along and are good-natured.

But Jane. Oh Jane.

Apparently she is well-behaved at the others' homes. Not at ours.

Mercy. She was in time-out 3 times on Tuesday. Here's to hoping that tomorrow is different.

And for visual pleasure: Here's what I made with the kids:

We learned about birds' nests and where they build them. Then we went exploring for the things birds make their nests out of. I really hope they had a good time ...

Now I'm having blog rolling issues, too! Did you start using the new interface? Maybe it's not working right. Oh, bother.

Wow, before I got to the snippet below the picture, I thought that what Jane and Elliot had on their plates was what they were eating for lunch and I wondered why they were so happy about it.

Rachel, my dear - what is a blog roll?
