Five Years

We watched our wedding video again last night.

You know, because it was our anniversary and all (although we watch it more than just that one special time a year).

I was going to post a little snippet of it here on the blog for your viewing pleasure (because it was awesomely made), but there is a lot of kissing in it. I mean, A LOT of kissing.

So much, in fact, that my sweet daughter Jane (who was watching it for the first time) said, "Why are you kissing so much?"

Oh, sweetness. You'll learn. You'll learn.

She saw the Daddy Daughter dance (where I dance with my own fantastic Daddy) and promptly declared that she wanted her wedding right now so she could dance with her Daddy.

Not that I want her to have a wedding any time soon, but I couldn't agree more with her on the wanting to dance with her Daddy. I love dancing with him.

In fact, there's very little I don't love about him. Even the things I don't necessarily love, I love. You know?

She's got a good Daddy. Because I found myself a wonderful man. I probably ensnared him and tricked him a little. But still, he's mine. For time and all eternity.

In the end, as I thought about my desire to share my wedding video (which still makes me cry) I realized my intentions to post it came more from a desire to show how fabulous I once looked. Because apparently I'm narcissistic like that.

And apparently that narcissism can be passed through genetics, because my kids smile like this when they know a photo is being taken:

and they still want to look at that photo of themselves all the live-long day.

P.S. I certainly hope this post shows on blog rolls. My posts haven't, of late, and being the recently sporadic blogger that I am, if I can't get the immediate gratification of seeing my name go higher on some list, then I might stop all together.

P.P.S. Aack! See? Narcissism again. I really should work on this ...
