I've become one of those bloggers that make me frustrated: One who rarely posts.
So what have I been doing other than going through my day trying desperately to concote some semi-witty repartee for my blog?
Well, besides bathing, dressing, feeding, reading to and playing with these two from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.:
(not to mention visiting the park every spare moment where the mercury rises above 64, which is quite often lately),
and reassembling this room (mostly the bookshelf) every evening:
I've been reading these:
Making this:
| Can you tell? These are dried peas. I'm loving it for St. Patrick's Day, but those peas fall off fairly easy -- so be forewarned. |
Sewing yards upon yards of 1-inch satin ribbon onto tulle:
And preparing for a princess birthday party this week by making the Birthday Girl and all her friends a crown (including a Princely crown for her little brother who will be in attendance):
Not to mention, I've been growing a small person:
Self-portraits are a little difficult, particularly when you have two preschoolers tugging on you
|
who apparently is not so small.
Of course, being in my last month, I get people who approach me daily with the "any day now" comment -- only to apologize when I inform them it's a little more than a month still. However, this last week I heard how big my baby was from the sonogram tech at the hospital.
After being rear-ended on the freeway, my doctor wanted me to be monitored at the hospital, which irritated me more than it relieved me.
At that point, I was 34 1/2 weeks. But that day in the shared triage room (yuck), they kept telling me the baby measured at 37 weeks, was more than 5 1/2 pounds and had a huge head.
She also affirmed that the baby is like a pike inside me. Of course. Head down low, legs crossed, but the little bugger has his legs extended at the knees and is pointing his toes into my ribcage.
All those comments tell me things are exactly where they should be, except the big head comment.
Thanks. I'll keep that one close to my heart during this next month.

You are amazing! Homemade party hats on your sewing machine? Incredible. Plus all the other stuff you've been doing. I swear I must not maximize my days nearly to the extent that you do.
I agree with Lisa -- What do I do with my own days?? And I don't have any toddlers tugging on me or begging for attention. LOL!!! (I think I would do a lot more without the TV on! hehe) You are quite impressive!! Your babies are so freaking cute! And that Elliot -- I love his curly hair! So cute!
