A Bunny.

Last night, as I said goodnight to the kids, Jane verified that the Easter Bunny would be visiting our home.

I assured her and we spent the next couple of minutes discussing the various attributes of the Easter Bunny.

Elliot lay in bed quietly throughout our discussion and as I left, I said, "Alright. Close those eyes. The Easter Bunny can't visit our house and leave candy unless everyone is asleep."

At this point, Elliot bolted upright and with his high, squeaky voice of excitement declared, "A bunny?! Here?"

Yes, indeed, Elliot. A bunny.

They were thrilled with the fallout.
I swear, she has cute, matching pajamas in her drawer, but this is what her Daddy dresses her in ...
Forget the DVD and book, this little man went straight for the good stuff -- Reese's Peanut Butter Egg.
He's milk drunk.
After a torturous morning of watching "My Little Pony", we got ready for church.

Yes, I broke my month-off rule and went to church. It's Easter, not to mention Lane was in the stands singing with the choir today and I didn't want all three kids at home alone with me.

I chickened out a wee bit and didn't make Jane's dress this year. I did, however, make the boys their bow ties (to match Jane's dress).

So easy. And barely takes any fabric (both these were made with scrap leftovers I had in my cupboard). Here's the tutorial, should you want to try your hand ... although I just put Velcro on the back instead of the fancy clasp.

And then Lane and I opted out of ham this year, since neither of us are big fans of the meat.

Instead, I roasted a chicken, made rolls and Lane tried his hand at scalloped potatoes.

Then we ate my carrot cake, made from scratch (of course).

Currently, I am feeling like a stuffed pig.

I am not one to readily share my testimony of the things most near and dear to my heart, but as it is a day to remember, I would like to say: I know my Savior lives. Because He died, I know I will live again.

Love the blog and love your sentiment. The children are DARLING. I love Lane's choice in pajamas. The cake looks scrumptious. Is it low carb? The bowties are the bomb. Thanks for keeping us up to date these many hundreds if miles away.

Love, Dad
