Two Full Weeks

How have I handled three kids thus far?

Honestly, I haven't really been initiated into that club.

My mom was here the full first week and then Lane took this last week off of work.

Granted, he left me alone all day Monday when he went into work. He called on his way home to get a ranking of my day on a scale of 1 to 10. "Three," came my thoughtful reply. We had watched TV all the live-long day, whilst I fed my little piggy.

I use the term "piggy" loosely. In all reality, Owen is our lightweight.

We went on Wednesday for his 2-week appointment (when he was not quite 2 weeks). He's gained 8 ounces from the weight he was at when we left the hospital. By this point, Jane and Elliot were each up a solid pound.

But really, he eats basically all day long. So what do we do when he isn't eating?

Swing:

This swing has been one of the greatest shower gifts I ever received. (As a side, I have a photo of Elliot exactly like this and you can't tell who is who ... but that photo is in a strange format.)

Vibrating chair:

And this $20 item remains the best baby purchase I have ever made. Took me until Elliot was 3 weeks old to get this beauty. Why did I wait THAT long?

Boppy hang-out:

Usually he sleeps in the little hollow of the Boppy pillow.

In finding these photos on the computer, I had to check more than once that the photos I had selected were actually of Owen (particularly that photo of him in the vibrating chair).

So how does he compare to Jane and Elliot?

A blurry photo of Jane around 2 weeks old. This is her first Easter.

Elliot at 2 weeks ... he was still orange then. Elliot's oompah-lumpa status for the first 3 weeks are some of my only indications that it is in fact Elliot and not Owen.

I didn't think so initially, but given my confusion over photos of my own two sons, I can now say: Elliot and Owen have a resemblance.
