There was a solid 6 weeks there that some mention could have been made without much fear of creating emotional turmoil.
My hair, folks. Why didn't anyone say something? Frankly, I'm embarrassed to have been in public as long as I was with a mangy mane of hair such as I had.
I think I thought that long hair would be easier with a baby. Well, when it is a frizzy, curly mess such as mine, it's NOT. I would have had to have actually done my hair to make it look decent (30, yes THIRTY, minutes to dry and another 30 to straighten -- not economical) ... and then fight the urge to put it in a ponytail (the hair clinging to my neck was a feeling I could not handle).
So, I've finally gotten back to my roots. Short, dark hair. Oh, I feel so much better.

I was going to do before and after photos, but I was too ashamed of the way my hair looked -- I didn't want photographic proof of the hideousness of it all. Imagine this: Hair semi-straight until about my ears and then a frizzy, puffy mess ending around the bottom of my sleeves. The word you're looking for is: Ick.

I love it! I'm totally going to that salon. What were they called? I've got to do something with the stringy mess that I've got going on. You look so good!
I'm sure you were still beautiful before, but you really do look cute now. What a hot mamacita (as Colleen would say). That length (and color) is, in my opinion, really the best way to go.
You are so adorable with short hair!! You were my inspiration once upon a time as I'm sure you remember! You always looked so much better with short locks than I ever did! So cute! And the color is great, too!! I'm jealous actually ... the long hair is fun, but frustrating at the same time!
Oh how I wish my hair could look like that. I have no choice, frizzy curly ridiculousness is all I've got, but I have found the shorter the length, the less time it takes and the less I put off doing my hair. You look great! Lane is a lucky man.
I'm sure your hair looked fine. The funny part is every pregnant woman I know grows her hair out until the baby is born and then gets this burning desire to chop it off. LOL. The same way you were describing it bothering your neck. I guess I will see how it feels someday. Until then it's funny. :)
