It would appear that my son has an aversion to chocolate. Perhaps it's too early to tell this kind of thing, but this is not something that my mind would logically jump to -- simply because it means that I have to refrain.
No chocolate? This seriously caused me to pause and wonder if nursing would be worth it this time around.
My reflection lasted about 1 second. Of course I will continue to nurse Elliot as long as he and I can do it.
But I will miss chocolate.
On another note, here are some random photos Lane and I took yesterday:
Jane and Lane playing.

Jane checking on Elliot (he was getting a little fussy).

She decided he needed a drink and she was desperately trying to reach him with this water bottle.
Jane was playing with her Daddy and getting really silly.

And finally, my favorite, Elliot had his eyes open for a long time yesterday. We got this picture and I hope the blue of his eyes comes through. And yes, my poor baby has jaundice. We spent a few hours at the doctor's and hospital yesterday and go back today.

He's getting cuter everyday! Despite the jaundice :) And so is Jane! I wish you lived next door :(
On another note. DH didn't remember that Miss A had jaundice (maybe because he wasn't with us the first 2 weeks of her life). But, she got better pretty quick. We had to do the whole hospital checks too. Good luck!
The nurses all called Trevor a pumpkin because his head was so big and round and his skin was literally orange...not even yellow - Went back two or three times to get follow up tests, but it went away quick. Love his picture with the eyes open.
Oh Rach!!! No Chocolate? Oh the sacrifices we do for our children. He's a cutie though. If he were mine, I think I'd do just about anything for him too ... Hang in there.
Tragic. Maybe he's just too young to handle the fruit of the gods. Or maybe it brings back memories of the glorious home he just left. Whatever the case, you can do it.
I love Jane's bows. They make me happy when I see them, only partly because it makes me think of Katie Larsen's nickname as a child: Bowhead.
I love how newborns get those really old, wise expressions on their faces. (And then suddenly they cross their eyes and stick out their tongues!)
We're so excited to see pictures of your newborn son and your cute daughter. She looks like a live-wire. And a handsome boy, must take after his father. Were you blonde as a little boy?
Jill had her baby today. Have you ever heard of anybody getting three great babies in one week?
Saw Jessa's sweet baby today. Looks like her mama did.
Hey, chocolate is the least you can do for a few months! Just smell it once in a while!
Loves to all, G:ma and G:pa P
Unfortunately breastfed babies always are more jaundiced naturally too. Lot's of laying out for the two of you.:) Sorry about the chocolate. Abby did the same thing for the first three weeks. I limited chocolate and dairy and decided I couldn't give up chocolate. We also used gas drops and then finally the Zantac did the trick for the heartburn. When I had to limit the chocolate that was all I wanted. By the way, I am not bringing chocolate for your dessert on Thursday. I am excited to see that little man.
Gosh, he's got such a perfect little face. That makes the chocolate thing forgiveable, right?
I was just thinking, How did she get her baby so tan? You have a beautiful, beautiful family. I am happy for you Rach!!
