Fall is here.
You know what that means: Cold weather, fabulous clothes and the winter weight.
This will be the first Fall in two years where I have not been pregnant. I can't describe my excitement knowing I have all my sweaters and jackets at my disposal this year (that is, if they still fit).
The first cold day here in Texas, I was rushing out the door for some appointment. And what do I see glistening in the corner of my closet? My old navy hoody.
Be still my heart! How I love this sweater!
This gem dates back to circa 1982. It was my mother's and at some point, while I was in high school, she threw it into a pile for DI donations. I found it, adopted it and made it more like a security blanket.
I can not tell you how many roommates, sisters, husbands (I've only had one, but I was going with the flow there) have tried to make me get rid of it.
It is old, it is worn (and it looks like it), but I love it.
Two days ago it tore when it caught under Elliot's car seat. Don't fret -- I'll still be wearing it all Fall.
And in equally happy news: The scale revealed this morning that I am at my pre-Elliot weight. Huzzah! I still have the Jane weight to shed, but it's nothing to shake a finger at, seeing as his pregnancy was a 30-plus pound deal.

Congrats! I'm so happy for you.
Now, if we could just find a suitable sweater to substitute for that old navy one. If Mom had put it in the DI pile, that's saying something. And how many years ago was that?
Dang that winter weight! I started the winter weight gain this summer.....I can't seem to remember this old navy sweat shirt, but I am sure I have seen it. Picture please.
I don't know. I kinda like that old navy hoodie :)
