Elliot's Awake

Every day around 3:30 p.m., my non-napping child will come to me and say "Ewiat wake, Mama."
And, when I am busy, I reply, "OK, I'll be there in a minute."
Inevitably, within the next minute or two, I can hear Elliot's acute scream of duress. And, invariably, this is what I'll hear as I climb the stairs, "Mama be right back. I watch "Incredibles". Mama and Jane make puzzle. We play dinosaurs. I get chocolate." and on an on. I believe she is trying to comfort him, but it never quite seems to work:

I need more than this. I need photos. I need video. I want to see Jane's room complete. Come on! What do you do all day anyways? (I hope you know I'm kidding! about the all day thing, not the documentation of your children growing up without their aunt)
