So here's what we did to celebrate the end of age-limit toy restrictions:
We woke up to have a birthday donut (both children simply ate the frosting off the top).
After a doctor's appointment, we ventured to Daddy's office to have a birthday lunch. When asked what she wanted for lunch, Jane said "cake." So we tried Elliot. His response? "Cookie." Umm ... Upon the denial of their requests, Jane decided on "chicken, fries, milk and a toy." Ah. McDonald's.
A three-year-old decorated the cake. On more than once occasion, Jane declared it "beautiful."

Around 4 p.m., the exhaustion of the day and side effects of an unanticipated vaccine started to kick in. Still, we made sure to continually dance to "Once Upon a Dream" (seen here with a matching Aurora as her dance partner).
Disney princesses not on the cake were lined up and told "come on kids. Come over here, kids. Kids, you driving me crazy."
We opened presents.
In the middle, our paper-ripping fun was interrupted when the most treasured present, Bullseye, was uncovered. He was promptly taken to Jessie for proper re-introduction.
After which Jane rode Bullseye.
She had a hard time blowing out the candle, so she applied a new technique to candle blowing: Plugging her ears. I don't know where she gets it ...
Ending, of course, with an adamant refusal to go to bed 2 hours past bedtime, despite having an exhausting day and a vaccine-related fever.
Happy Birthday, my darling girl. You have made each day better than the next.March 3, 2008

That's one rockin' birthday party (or, as it were, birthday DAY). Everything looks great . . . especially one thing I'm now going to draw attention to: YOU! Holy Hannah, girlie, you look fantabulous. Your arms look amazing in that picture. I want more pictures of you!
(side note: My security word is "licabl." How funny is that.)
So cute! Happy birthday! Rach, I can't believe you have a 3 year old! :)
Happy Happy Birthday Jane! Sarah and Jane need to parade in their beautiful princess dresses. Isn't it great that we have people to make them for us :)
Happy Belated Birthday to Jane! She did an amazing job decorating the cake. I remember dancing around to the Sleeping Beauty song too when I was a little girl.
And the post about Elliott and his "Doggy" was great, such precious photos of him.
