You know I like them. You know I am motivated by them.
What you may not realize is that I make a dedicate effort to comment. I believe others enjoy to see the number of comments go up just as much as the next person, perhaps I only tell this to myself to make me feel better..
This doesn't work out too well when loved ones' blogs hate me.
I am speaking of my families' blogs. All of them. Can't leave a comment. It even happened once with my friend.
So, just in case you thought I was ignoring your blogging efforts:
- Katie: I love Fall as much as you do. For basically the exact same reasons. In fact, take away basically. It's for the exact same reasons. And I want to print out a photo of your baby in his pumpkin pajamas and frame it, that's how much I loved those photos.
- Dad: Your post about Hawaii made me wish I was there. And you do have adorable grandchildren, totally unbiased. But the two you posted (not even mine) I could smother in kisses. In fact, their mothers better watch out for that the next time I see those babies.
- Emily: Pixie cuts are the devil to grow out. I am currently in the throes of it. And I agree about Netflix -- it has totally ruined any productivity I might have gained from canceling our cable. Worse, because I can watch an entire season without having to wait.
The rest of you: You're either not posting (DIANA!) or I've commented recently.
I do love blogs. A little too much. In fact, I've begun talking about people I don't even know as if they are close friends because blogs make it too easy to feel like a part of someone's life. Lane thinks it's weird. Perhaps I should try to curtail it some.
I almost forgot to mention (mostly because I am not the best blogger of late), I decorated for Halloween.
The kids love it. L.O.V.E. it. I am so glad they inherited my exhuburance for holidays and birthdays (of course, that is causing a slight problem as Jane has declared at least twice daily for the past 3 weeks that today is her birthday).
I noticed a bit of a strange trend this year: I grouped my Halloween decor. Completely unintentional. But now my compulsive brain can't seperate it and it is what it is.
We have all our normal decor and a few new additions this year:

Some mice running up the stairs, thank you Martha Stewart.

Some friendly ghosts kickin' it in the corner of the breakfast nook.

A webby buffet (that Jane helped my with).

Thank you Home Goods for delivering on some non-tacky ghoulish decor.

Love it! I haven't blogged in months because 1. I'm always tired 2. The house is always staring me down and a big 3. I don't type very well with one hand. I will try harder. I also need to decorate for Halloween. Hooray for Fall!!
You crack me up! I love that i found you on blog and face book. it is so fun to hear what you are up to. I was addicted to reading peoples blogs for a while too. Time would fly by because I would see a link from one friend to another. It's still fun I just have to watch the time so I don't use up the entire day.
Ah! I'm envious of your Halloween decor! I haven't put mine up yet for reasons I may or may not blog about. However, I am inspired to be better.
Also, I am TOTALLY with you on loving having comments on my blog. I wasn't going to admit to be self centered or whatever you called it... but it's probably something along those lines with me too :) Either way, I try to repay the favor by faithfully commenting and I love when others do the same, so thank you :)
Love your decorations, and I have put up three or four new posts lately! Proud of me?
yay a public comment!!!!! ps i have that same snow globe from home goods and agree it is hard to find non-tacky halloween decor! i also am lazy a rarely comment...i should because i also enjoy when people leave me comments!!! ps whenever i read olivia the giving tree i think of you...because the book was a gift from you and it has that little personal message you wrote!
LOVE your advent calendar!
And I'm totally with you on comments. Love to get them.
I loved reading your comment, even though it doesn't raise my comment ticker. If I thought it wasn't self-centered, I would frame you a picture of my child and send it to you. But you have the faces of your own sweet babes to fill up walls.
I want your Halloween decor. I really need to get on the ball with that. I want my children to love holidays as much as I do, and I think this is a good way.
I finally got all ur decor out and each year I think I had a lot more till I pull it out and decide it definately needs more. I was wondering how your countdown would go this year with the bun in the oven. Good luck. I feel exhausted just thinking about it. :)
I have that same problem too sometimes. I can't leave comments on some people's blogs. It asks me to sign into my google account, even though I already am. Then when I follow the steps to sign in again, it still won't let me leave a comment. UGH! I wish I knew why it does that on some blogs and not others. Cute Halloween decorations, BTW. I really like the mice running up the stairs...very creative! :)
I am excited to read about your adventures with your calendar. I thought it was such a great idea last year. Now I need to make mine better so than I can put activities for my family to do.
look at all your comments! I love reading your blogs, and sadly have not been into posting on mine ... or posting comments every time I read, but I pledge to do better ... missing our chats!
