It Has Begun ...

Friday was the start to our Halloween advent calendar.

Yesterday was also Lane's birthday and, typically, I refuse to merge two holiday events. However, with my love in Chicago for a BYU football game, I felt justified and vindicated in a little Halloween celebration.

Our activity was going to the library to check out Halloween books.

Typically, the 10 Halloween books at our local library are all checked out by this time. However, earlier this year, I discovered that I could receive a reciprocal library card at another city's library.

And that's where we went this year.

Jackpot:

I had to stop the kids from getting too many books. I mean, let's think about others, right?

We really haven't been able to stop reading
Jane loves reading to her little brothers.
even when Mom can't read the books to small children.

His attention was being divided between the Halloween book and "My Little Pony" in this photo. Luckily, the book won out in this moment.

After the library Friday, I couldn't resist but to take the kids on a dinner picnic to the park. The weather was so nice and my babies so agreeable.

But I might have gone a little overboard with the camera.
