Why is it that rarely a person likes Granny Smith apples alone, but in pie and with caramel it makes the perfect marriage?

So now you know what we did Thursday.
Day 7: Caramel Apples.
The most amusing part of all of this was that my children can't say caramel, so all day I kept getting asked, "When are we going to make the ... what are they called?"

Of course, once Mommy got the help she needed to make the apples, we ended our traditions with our typical fare: Eating.
