I knew I'd be pushing it on this activity with a 2- and 1-year-old, but I couldn't help myself.Tonight, we watched my childhood favorite Halloween movie, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Of course, tonight of all nights, Lane had a Cub Scout pack meeting, so I flew solo on the Halloween countdown activity. In the end, it didn't matter -- because Mom had popcorn.
While Jane remained thoroughly entranced through the entire movie (I skipped the scariest part with the Headless Horseman and his blazing pumpkin, I mean, give me a break, she's TWO, with a very active imagination.),
Elliot's main concern was popcorn. He did, however, watch parts of the movie and even shook his little bum-bum to the jazzy songs littered throughout the short movie.
Although slightly reluctant to get into bed, Jane seemed satiated after our normal songs and routine. She even requested the Halloween Curious George story.
Here's hoping I'm not responding to crying and scary dreams all night. What can I say? I'm a sucker to childhood memories.

I LOVE that movie, too! Such a classic. I always used to pretend that I was the pretty blonde girl! :)
